The zero point clamping system for the RoboTrex Compact automation system is compatible with the Makro•Grip® Micro 5-axis vise, which has two clamping studs on the underside. When the vise is transferred in automated operation, the zero point clamping system is opened pneumatically by the interface of the robot gripper and closed by a spring assembly inside the zero point unit. The positioning of the vises is precise and repeatable in the µ range, which is particularly important in unmanned production. It is also possible to control the zero point clamping system via the machine tool.
